New Artist: David Nordentoft

Great News!
A new track has been uploaded, this time an exellent spoken word piece, called 'No sense of orientation'. Lyrics and composition is done by David Nordentoft from Denmark. His soundcloud site, Home Surgery, is highly recommended. Go there for some diverse and fresh electronica.

New Artist: Kirkeby Kvalitet

Newest artist in the frontside player is Kirkeby Kvalitet. The vocals is done by Eivind Kirkeby and the tune is produced by Mads Meskalin.

New Artist: Le Fruit de la Passion

Le Fruit de la Passion is the newest contributor to the frontside player with the dark and dreamy 'Kyssende vind/Le Vent Embrassant' featuring Mads Meskalin and Adrienne Hozleiter. Spoken word seems to be the newest trend on areyouprepared.dk - very nice!

New Artist: Rachel Kann/Chair Crusher

Kent Williams aka Chair Crusher have sent a song he's made featuring Los Angeles-based Spoken Word Artist Rachel Kann.
Check out their very powerful tune called 'F*** you when you fight me' in the front side player and be sure to visit their sites as well.

Newest contribution to the player on areyouprepared.dk arrived today. The very cool song can be heard from the frontside player.

Areyouprepared.dk just got a makeover!

With the invaluable help of artist Anders Skouboe, Are You Prepared has been taken quite a few steps forward.
- Notes can now be triggered with the mouse.
- triggering a note now plays the entire sample. This makes for a much more realistic and well-sounding experience!
- Several improvements in the colors and fonts, making the site more user friendly and easily readable

Just as important - the EXS version of Are You Prepared is here and ready for download in the downloads section of areyouprepared.dk!
Programmed by pianist and composer, Thomas Bryla, this new version enables all users of Logic's EXS sampler to delve into the wonders of the prepared piano.

Rumours are that the Kontakt version is around the corner so stay tuned if that's your preferred sampler platform.

AYP almost ready for Logic's EXS player

Before the end of the week, AYP is gonna be ready for download from areyouprepared.dk in an EXS version so Logic users: Rejoice!

I've told some different magazines about my site and already one has agreed to do an article! - More info on that later.

In other news, areyouprepared.dk are scheduled for some changes - I want the online piano to be clickable and also featuring a nice release on the online samples.

In the Ableton Live Pack this is not a problem but making complex audio effects in a Flash setting is hard and out of my reach. It will be done soon however:)

Rumour: New AYP Platforms Under Development! - Also...some nice user feedback

Day 5 is here and Are You Prepared is still going strong - The instrument and the site is generating a lot of user activity both over at the Ableton Live forum and on different Danish ones as well.
In just a few days, different downloaders have offered to make Are You Prepared versions for NI's Kontakt and Logics EXS. Also, a VST plugin might come some day but that might not be in the first month or two.
There are no deadlines involved so we will all just have to see what comes first.
In the meantime, I'll just copy-paste a short amount of the user feedback that I've gotten(and that's a whole lot, thanks to all who is writing, sorry I haven't got time to get back to everyone, I'll try).

Composer Manuel Loos featured on areyouprepared.dk

Today I was mailed a great song from German composer Manuel Loos. His song is called 'prepared' and features a lot of samples from Are You Prepared. Mr. Loos shows some very creative use of Are You Prepared and puts it in an very interesting musical context. Check it out on areyouprepared.dk in the player and be sure to also check out the link to the right to Manuels page where you can hear more of his material.

Ableton Live offers "Comarketing" agreement with areyouprepared.dk

Ok, this is just spinning out of control - in the really, really good way!
After sending a link to AYP to software developer Ableton Live, they wrote me back offering a "Comarketing" agreement.
This could be good for the PR of Are You Prepared as they will most likely will announce the site in their newsletter that is sent to thousands of Live-users. Also, other good things can come from this but one thing at a time - let's see what happens:)

Are You Prepared off to a great start!

After areyouprepared.dk went into existence less than 24 hours ago, my inbox have been bombed with feedback on all aspects of both the online piano and the software download. It is so nice knowing that people are having fun with my site. Thanks to everyone.

There is already a growing interest from musicians and composers over at the Ableton Live Forums, meaning that forum users are downloading the software after trying out the site!
Hopefully the composers that are downloading Are You Prepared will send back some work to share with all of the world in the mp3-player at the site.
